The Bromelton State Development Area near Beaudesert is one of South East Queensland's few locations with direct access to the national standard-gauge rail network. Declared in 2008, it covers 15,610 ha, with about 1,800 ha designated for large-lot rail-dependent industry, intermodal freight, manufacturing and warehousing. - Recessed docks with levellers, on-grade roller doors, or a mix, based on your vehicle fleet.
- Hardstand design
- Pavement thickness for heavy vehicles, drainage falls and turning paths for the largest vehicle you receive.

- Set by racking and storage height; storage of combustibles above 4 m can require sprinklers (NCC E1D13).

- Perimeter vehicle access and hydrant coverage planned together with truck circulation.

Inside the Bromelton State Development Area, applications are assessed under the Coordinator-General's Bromelton SDA Development Scheme. Outside it, Scenic Rim Regional Council assesses them under the Scenic Rim Planning Scheme 2020.
What is the difference between a warehouse and a distribution centre?
A warehouse is mainly for storage. A distribution centre is organised around moving goods in and out quickly, so docks, hardstand, truck circulation and sorting space get more of the design effort and the budget.
