What information do you need for a warehouse construction quote?

Short answer

For a useful first price a builder needs five things: the lot address, the approximate floor area and height, the building's use (storage, distribution, workshop, manufacturing, cold storage), the office and amenity requirements, and your timeline. Plans, a survey and a soil report sharpen the price but are not needed to start; a design-and-construct builder can prepare them.

Needed to start

  1. Lot address (to check zoning, overlays, flood levels and access).
  2. Approximate floor area and height.
  3. What the building is for and how goods and vehicles move.
  4. Office, amenities and mezzanine requirements.
  5. Timeline and whether the land is secured.

Helpful if you have them

  • Sketch or plans
  • Contour survey
  • Soil (geotechnical) report
  • Existing approvals for the land
  • Equipment list (cranes, refrigeration, racking)

What happens next

We review the lot and brief, confirm the likely approval pathway, suggest the structure that suits, and give you a budget range. If you proceed, design and engineering refine that into a fixed-scope construction price.

Tell us what the building has to do.

Send the lot address, the rough size and what the building is for. We check the zoning and approval pathway, suggest the structure that suits and come back with a budget range.

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (AEST). Brisbane office visits by appointment.
